with the theme, "Artificial Intelligence: Embracing Change and Ethical Use in Research" on 12-13 September 2024 at the Dusit Thani Mactan Resort, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.


The main activities will include oral and poster presentations, and plenary talks. This year's conference is chaired by the University of San Carlos (USC) and co-chaired by Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT).

This National Science Consortium (NSC) is composed of eleven (11) member-universities namely: Ateneo De Manila, Central Luzon State University, De La Salle University, Mindanao State University IIT, University of the Philippines - Diliman, University of the Philippines - Los Banos, University of the Philippines - Manila, University of the Philippines - Visayas, University of San Carlos, University of Santo Tomas - Manila, and Visayas State University. The ASTHRDP Graduate Scholars Conference is a venue for the ASTHRDP scholars, faculty, and mentors to get together, gain updates on new developments in S&T and present research outputs.

Nation Science Consortium (NSC)


The National Science Consortium (NSC) is a consortium of eleven (11) DOST-SEI in the implementation of the Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resources Program. The member universities are composed of ADMU, CLSU, DLSU, MSU-IIT, UPD, UPLB, UPM, UPV, USC, UST, and VSU.

Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP)



The Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) is a graduate scholarship program being implemented by the Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (SEI-DOST), in collaboration with the National Science Consortium (NSC). It is a program in the basic and applied sciences for the pursuance of Master in Science (MS) and Doctorate (PhD) degrees in priority S&T areas. Its main objective is to help improve the country's global competitiveness and capability to innovate through S&T and to accelerate the production of high-level human resources needed for research and development in S&T.

The Science Education Institute (SEI) is headed by Engr. Albert G. Mariño.
